We met Sonny several years ago here in Texas and he was a great friend. We always enjoyed it when he and JoAnn were in town and we could share a meal and good fellowship. He was my Uncle Sonny, so today: Nov. 5, 2007, I turn my thoughts toward his special wife, JoAnn, and my two cousins, Randall and Patti Gail and all of the family members and friends who know of his gift of being able to keep a smile on our faces and hope in our hearts. He had a true talent of making a stranger or long time friend feel uplifted in his presence. Words do not define him, only a beautiful scene in nature comes close: One with a mountain lit by the sun or rows of beautiful rose bushes.
