Uncle Jim is such a fine example to so many people as a caring person, loving husband, father & grandfather. A true man of God. Many people can "talk" their faith Uncle Jim walked his faith. He and Auntie Kathy complemented each other so well. Theirs is a true love story. If you are fortunate enough to know his daughters, Erin & Shawn, you can see so much of Uncle Jim's loving & caring personality in them.
He always made our family feel so comfortable and welcome in his home. Some special memories of Uncle Jim ....A talk we had after my Dad, Roger had passed about dads & daughters. Dancing with Erin at her wedding. Smiling as he watched his son-in-law David running all over the yard and playing with the granddaughters and the rest of the kids at a family gathering. Most recently a night of intense laughter as He, Auntie Kathy, my sister, & I sat on his porch watching the moon shining on Puget Sound.
Uncle Jim - I will miss you, but all these memories I will hold dear to my heart until I see you again. - My wonderful family Spencer's, Howard's and Williams -I will keep you all in my heart and my prayers as you face this difficult time. I love you all.
Rob had great memories of Jim while serving on the Church Building Committee at Cabrini when Fr. Coyne was our pastor. I was so sorry today to hear of Jim's passing. We went to school together at Custer Elementary, where he was a Crossing Guard. He played the clarinet in our high school marching/concert band. I was shocked to hear the sad news. I grew up in the same neighborhood as Jim and we were best friends. We both graduated from Clover Park HS in 1965and then went our own ways. Ran into at a conference in Tacoma in later years. My mom kept me up to date on what was going on in the Spencer family until Mrs Spencer passed and then my mom followed. My thoughts and prayers to Jim's family and friend. He is a great loss.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim's sudden death. I graduated with Jim, so have known him 50 years. He has done so much in the past 50 years. My thoughts and prayers are with his whole family. He will certainly be missed. Bless you all. Cuppy Long Walker
