I was just made aware of James passing so I apologize for the belated thoughts. I was fortunate enough to work with James throughout much of his career at PC Parks. He did his work as asked, loyally, responsibly, consistently, quietly, and always with that smile of his. Such a nice, kind, warm man. A pleasure to know and share time with. I know he is missed. My thoughts remain with all of his family.

Man, where do I start. I met James C. over 30 years ago, my children and I, through my best friend , Jackie Marshall, whom he was dating at the time. The saying that once you meet the Smiths, you're family is so true. James C. was one of the nicest, funniest, and generous men that I had the pleasure to meet in my lifetime and call him "family". Through James we met EVERYBODY. All of his family member and so many of his friends. Everybody quickly received my children and myself "like family". We loved James C. and I know that he loved me and my children. All of those parties, family get-togethers, weddings, retirements...me and my family was there for them all - because we were family too. I always made sure to call James C. on his birthday every year. No matter how much time had passed, when we talked it was always the same. He was always laughing and kidding around, asking about Tinesa and Preston, and my own as well. I remember in 1991 when my children and I left to move to Chicago for my job with the federal government. James C had a party at his house. Little did I know until later that the party was to celebrate my accomplishment and to send me and my children off wishing us well. Somebody was filming the party but I can't remember who. James C. gave me the tape of the party and I still have it today. He was GOOD PEOPLE. And his entire family with nieces, nephews, cousins, friends are GOOD PEOPLE - as a reflection of him. We love him and we will surely miss him. We love you family! May God continue to comfort you all during this time. What great memories we'll all have of James C..
