I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was loved by everyone he worked with. He was a mentor, teacher and friend to me. He was always encouraging and a great leader.I have many happy memories of my years working with Jim in the Tacoma Public Schools.
Jim and I were administrators for the Tacoma School District for many years, he for elementary education and I for secondary. Jim was highly respected by the Central Administrative staff, the elementary school principals and everyone who knew him as well. We usually had lunch together and discussed our work responsibilities to always do our best for the school district. I have really missed him, especially during the latter years of his life. He was a great guy.
