James Ray Robbins' Obituary
Jim was born on November 23, 1933. He passed away peacefully on July 25 2003surrounded by his family. Jim graduated from Puyallup High School before he eloped and married his soul mate of 47Years Mary. Jim served in the United States Army and after serving he settled down in Tacoma and began his family with Mary. He spent 40 plus years working at Pederson Fryer Farms and in his retirement years he worked part time for Tacoma RV.Through the years he enjoyed fishing, baseball, writing poetry and has always had an immaculate vegetable garden and yard. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son Marty (Shani) Robbins; daughters Joan (Kevin) Scudder, Janet Robbins and Jean (Joel) Schossow; and 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter on the way. He also has his mother, Elsie Burke; brothers, Don, Bob and sister, Betty. He had many loving nieces and nephews and his Yorkie Brutus.Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2003 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mt. View Funeral Home.Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 2, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Valley Chapel.Memorials may be made to the University of Washington Research Center or St. JosephÂ's Hospital of Tacoma.
