James R. Stiltner's Obituary
James R. Stiltner was born January 19, 1927 in Tacoma and passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2002. After growing up in Puyallup, he served in World War II aboard the USS Cubera and the S-48. In 1960, he married Marilyn Murphy and they moved to Yakima where he worked as a representative for Atlantic Richfield. Dick retired after 20 years and then became the owner of an AM/PM Mini Mart in Union Gap. In 1985, they returned to Grapeview and built their dream home on Puget Sound. He is survived by two daughters, Mindy of Lakewood, Carol of Atlanta, and numerous friends and relatives. Dick was predeceased by Marilyn in 1996. Viewing will be TODAY at Mt. View Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 9:00pm. Services will be on Tuesday, September 24 at 1:00pm in The Garden Chapel, Mt. View.
