James R. Jacobson's Obituary
James Jacobson, 79, of Tacoma, born March 20, 1923 in Verona, N. Dakota, passed away Friday October 25, 2002 in Puyallup. He was a Army Veteran of WWII, worked as a pattern maker/ carpenter for Tacoma ASARCO for 40 years and was their most senior employee upon the plant closing. He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine in 1999, his parents and six siblings. Survivors include son Mark Jacobson and wife Kimberley, brothers Sigurd and Phillip Jacobson, sisters Josie Bockwoldt , Lilly Trucke, and Ruth Barry, and two grandchildren Cody and Tyler. James was a devoted servant to his community, friends and family. He will be missed. Viewing will be Tuesday 11:00am-9:00pm at Mt. View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday October 30, 2002 in the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
