James R. Hill's Obituary
Jim, a resident of Steilacoom, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janis; their daughters Kara (Steve) McElroy and Leah Hill; his mother Bertha Hill; brothers Gary and Thomas (June) Hill; sister Cynthia Wright; grandchildren Steven and Jaidyn McElroy; Janae McGee and a host of extended family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father James R. Hill, Sr.Jim served as a United States Marine in Vietnam and worked for the Town of Steilacoom in public works for 19 years. He will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service and celebration of JimÂ's life will be held at the Lakewood Elks Lodge 6313 75th St W Lakewood, WA on Tuesday August 30th from 3-5pm. Memorials may be made through the Lakewood Elks in JimÂ's name to Camp Good Times for children with cancer and the VeteranÂ's Administration.
