James Melvin Pedersen's Obituary
James (Jim) M. Pedersen passed away on August 31, 2023, with his loving wife of 32 years by his side. Jim was born August 29, 1950, to Oswald and Emilie Pedersen in Tacoma, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Sheri A. Pedersen (Fischer), son Cory Pedersen (Michelle), daughter Renee Hummell (Sean), 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his sister Christine L. Riffle.
Jim attended Stadium High School before joining the army in 1971. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His most memorable trip was to Norway with his sister to explore his family roots.
Jim enjoyed the simple things in life. You would usually find him in his jean shorts, a grey sweatshirt and tennis shoes. If you spent any time with him, you know he started every story with “Back in the day……” and thought if your car wasn’t at least 20 years old it wasn’t worth owning. He enjoyed going to car shows and showing off his own collection of cars. Jim loved Sheri’s baking, especially her peanut butter balls and Haystacks.
