James Parr's Obituary
Jim was born in Trinidad, CO on 11/30/31 and passed away on 3/18/06. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother who had a love for the ocean, boating and fishing.He proudly served his country and retired from the US Army in 1969 after 20 years of service and 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Jim received the Purple Heart for wounds obtained during combat in Korea. After retirement he went to work as a civil service employee at Fort Lewis. With his knowledge and ambition, he became the general foreman of the Mechanical Systems Section and then retired again in 1994 with over 20 years of service. He was loved by all who knew him and worked with him.Surviving family members include his wife Sandra Parr, daughters Brenda Crump and Connie Pyles, son Larry Joe (Marci), step-daughter Shelly Eberwein, 8 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 4 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters, 8 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.Viewing will be from 12:00 Â- 9:00 PM TODAY, and from 10:00 AM Â- 9:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
