James (Jim) Richard Zeitelhack Sr.'s Obituary
Jim was born to Willis and Esther Zeitelhack on March 4, 1931 in Tacoma, Washington, where he lived until his passing on April 16, 2018.
Jim worked as a carpenter and millwright for many years and he could build or fix just about anything. He was a life long member of Elks Lodge #0174, and he attended Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, where he spent many hours donating his carpentry skills.
Jim had many varied interests – he was an avid hiker and fisherman, he enjoyed reading, puzzles, and playing games, and he loved his family. He was much loved and will be dearly missed.
Jim was preceded in death by his son Ricky, his parents, and his sister Beverly Peters. Jim is survived by his wife of 67 years Marlene, his son Fred and daughters Pam Bowen and Betsy Landeis (Tom), his grandchildren Heather, Spencer (Aminda), Joey (Dianna), Amelia, Marissa and Kelsey, his great-grandchildren William, Marie and Isadora, his sister Nancy Fisher (Bill), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on May 6 at 10 am. Funeral service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on May 6 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter or Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
