James Vester Jackson's Obituary
James Vester Jackson, age 88, WWII and Korean War Veteran, passed away on June 16, 2014 at American Lake VA hospital. He was born in Keytesville, Missouri on July 19, 1925 to Luther and Mary Jackson (deceased). He married Bernice R. Pedersen on December 28, 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice; sister, Dorah Mae Blew, Illinois ; and children: Bob & Ingrid Jackson, Lacey, WA; Tom Jackson, Boston, MA; and Susan & Paul Schaeffer, Dayton, OH.
He leaves behind grandchildren: Tanya & Tony Diehl, Bremerton, WA; Rob & Dinh Jackson, Lacey, WA; Jim Jackson, Canada; Nicole & Daniel Martin, Canada; Jeremy & Angela Knight, Barstow, CA; and Kyra & Charles Tuey, Dayton, OH.
He has 12 great-grandchildren: Carl Knight, Jordan Knight (deceased), Caleb Knight (deceased), Justin Knight, Courtney Murphy, Alexis Tuey, Sean Tuey, Liam Tuey, Jazmyn Jackson, Abigail Diehl, Noelle Diehl, and Bethany Diehl.
A viewing will be held 10:00 a.m. in the Garden Chapel on June 27th with services at 11:00 a.m. following with a military gravesite and celebration of life.
