James Earl Holmes Sr.'s Obituary
James Earl Holmes Sr. died peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 72. He was born on May 26, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Evelina Holmes. James was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving 20 dedicated years. His career took him across the globe, including South Korea, where he met the love of his life. The couple settled in Tacoma, Washington and built a life together with their two sons. A fervent Dallas Cowboys fan, one of his favorite pastimes was watching football and rooting for America’s Team.
James will deeply be missed by his family and friends. His spirit will forever remain in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelina Holmes. He survived by his wife, Yong Holmes, sons James Holmes Jr. (Deana), Michael Holmes, and three beloved grandchildren - Jasmyne, Jaleesa, and Keeyan.
Services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood Washington on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 1:30 PM.
