James Leroy Gross, born Livingston, TX February 10, 1937, passed away Tacoma WA January 26, 2026
Our hearts were broken Monday, January 26, 2026 when we woke to find our dad, James Leroy Gross, had passed away in his sleep next to his beloved dogs, Annie & Sassy, guardians to the end.
Jim graduated Livingston High School in 1955. Jim served in the US Air Force at Lowry AFB from August 1956 until May 1957. He transferred to McChord AFB (JBLM) and served until March 1958, when he married Linda Longworth.
We know how much he meant to so many of you and wanted to be sure all his friends and family knew that he had gone to be with his mom, Essie and his dad & brother, both Carl's and so many departed friends and family.
Dad was dearly loved and will be missed by so many, especially his children, Debbie, Jimmy, Shari, Steve and Jonathan. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, His brother, Kenny and many cousins in the Texas area.
