Dear family,
Jed was a wonderful friend to me through a difficult time in my life. He brought a lot of joy in my life. He has a great personality and a very kind heart. He touched my life greatly. I feel honored to have associated with him. He taught me much about unconditional love. We were both big baseball fans and enjoyed talking about his boys football talents. His family meant everything to him. I will never forget him and how he impacted my life.##imported-begin##Mori Farmer##imported-end##

I send my condolences. My family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1964 in Bay City, Texas. Jed's family were the ones that sent the missionaries to our door and for that I have always held a special place in my heart for them. Jed and I attended high school together - although he was 2 years ahead of me and then I saw him out at BYU as well. I haven't seen Jed since then, but have though of those times in Bay City and BYU so often through my life. It is so sad that we lose touch with those who have had such an impact in our lives. When I knew Jed, he was strong in his testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and I am glad to see that he was strong to the end.
I am so sorry for your lose, but isn't it wonderful to know that families are forever!

I knew Jed at BYU and had a
wonderful time getting to know Joann
at one of our BYU roommate reunions.
Joann was battling cancer at the time. She was remarkable in her
attitude. She was so positive and
strong. She will always be an
inspiration to me. We visited her
in the hospital just following our
reunion and was able to visit their
home in Tacoma. Jed was also very
positive in his support for Joann.
They were a remarkable couple.
You can be very proud of them and their example of spirituality and the strength of their testimony. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Even though we don't know Jed and Jo's children we do know Jed's parents and siblings. My husband and I as well as Dora and her husband are currently in Tim and Aimee's Ward in Marble Falls, TX.
We wanted to add our sincere condolences. You have all been in our thoughts and prayers for the past few weeks. We will always remember with fondness our association with Jed and his family.
Our families met years ago in Bay City. Phil and I grew up with Jed, Walter and Tim and knew Mary and Agatha although they came along a few years later!
Our families joined the Church the same year and have remained friends - even though from a distance - since that time. We love you and always will.

Over the years Jed and I have not been physically close but he has always been in my thoughts. We graduated HS together, attended BYU together, left on misions about the same time, maried about the same time, played intermural football together and watched our loving wives succomb to the ravages of cancer, all together but miles apart. We have known your father since 1964. I(Jeri)worked for your grandfather for a total of 14 years. In fact he was responsible for us adopting our first son. And then thanks to (as he puts it, his malpractice) we had 3 more sons. Jed, Walter, Tim, Mary and Aggie are some of our most favorite people. We visit with your grandparents as often as we can when we get to Bay City. It is a great confort to know where your father is and that he is with your wonderful mother. We all take comfort in this and as time goes by you will, too.
