James E. League's Obituary
James E. League was born on October 31, 1928 in Dryad, WA and passed away in Tulsa, OK on February 10, 2006.Jim retired in January 2005 from Northwest Cascade as the shop supervisor. He was a member of the Puyallup Eagles #0361 and the Operating Engineers Local 612. He enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, family get-togethers, and was a big Mariners baseball fan. He was the gentlest, kindest, caring man anyone could have known.Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and Mamie League, brother Gary League, and sister Dixie Hollis. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Surplus) League of Tulsa Oklahoma, his aunt Jurene Joyner of Puyallup, his brother Frank League (Norma) of Puyallup, his sister Marjorie Rath of Plano, TX, and his brother Michael League (JoAnn) of Puyallup, WA, his children Cheryl McMahon (Gary) of Sandpoint, ID, Kathleen Owings (Gene) of Lacey, WA, Joseph League (Lorie) of Tacoma, James League (Brenda) of Ione, WA, Cynthia Beckham of Priest River, ID, Theresa Schroeder (Gary) in Germany, Wendy Roberts of Prior Lake, MN, Mark League of Sandpoint ID, step daughter Kimberly Jeffress (Michael) in Bixby, OK, 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Memorial service will be scheduled for later this year at Mountain View Funeral Home.As he requested, Jim was cremated and will be laid to rest with his father at Mountain View Memorial Park.
