Jimmy and I took care of "Grandpa" for the last 3 1/2 years of his life. It wasn't always a picnic, but we would do it all again in a heartbeat despite all the problems we encountered in doing so. Our lives have been enriched by just spending the time with him.
Grandpa had a wonderful sense of humor. He would often test us just to make sure we were paying attention!! He was also a stubborn cuss. If he didn't like something or didn't want to do something, he wasn't at all to shy to let you know. And just when you thought that maybe he couldn't quite understand, he would turn around and let you know he was a lot sharper than many people gave him credit.
Grandpa lived a long and full life. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him, but we believe he is where he wanted to be now.
We hope Snoopy is there with him too.##imported-begin##James Lamm III and Angela Rollins##imported-end##
Because we lived so far apart I didn't know my dear uncle as well as I would have liked but the few times we did spend together were special! He was a dear sweet person....and he will be missed by all of us who loved him! My prayers are with you all. May God bless and watch over all of you.
