-Å"On Wings of Eagles-
Today Heaven welcomed our husband, father, brother, grandpa, and friend. Jim was born January 31, 1931, one of twelve children to Reverend George and Emma Hoggatt in Pawnee, Oklahoma. As a young boy, his family moved to the San Fernando Valley, CA graduating from Van Nuys High School in 1949. Jim proudly served in the US Air Force for 20 years, was a Korean War Vet and had tours in France and Panama before retiring in 1970. Jim went to work for the State of Washington in DSHS, retiring after 20 years in 1991.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Donna of 59 years; son Jim Jr. (Squeak), daughters Debbi Fontana and Sharri (Jerry) Piotrowski; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers Joe (Marge), Ed (Dalpha), Paul (Jane), and Bob; and sisters Marion (Don) and Helen.
Jim will be remembered as a hard working, loving husband and father who enjoyed his family, gardening, fishing, bowling, and card playing with friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Clare Hospital for their care and compassion.
Jim will be forever missed. Honoring Jim's request, there will be no services.
