James E. Clough's Obituary
Jim was born in Shelton, WA on November 2, 1910 and passed away in Tacoma, WA on February 13, 2005. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorna and their 3 sons: Jim (Colleen) of Ocean Shores, John (Gerri) of University Place and Joe of Bangkok, Thailand, daughter-in-law Susan Clough, 9 grandchildren and their spouses, and 21 great-grandchildren.Jim graduated from Shelton High School and attended Washington State University on a football scholarship. He married Lorna, the love of his life, in 1937 and they had 67 wonderful years together. Jim served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a carpenter after being discharged. He worked on the first Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and retired from the City of Tacoma Public Works Department in 1975. Jim was a big band fan and loved to dance. He was a great fisherman and spent many hours in his boat on Puget Sound and at the Narrows Marina. He and Lorna loved driving to Reno, with their dog Heidi always along as their companion. Jim loved his family and we have been blessed to have had him in our lives. He will be missed and remembered forever.At JimÂ's request, there will be no services. Remembrances may be made to your charity of choice.
