Hi Jim, Mark Hansen here, I miss you and you touched my life, I hope heaven is good to you.
Jim was a good friend of Jack's, who he used to work with at McChord. After Jack died, he always called me and when I answered, he always said "is anybody home". I'll miss that. God Bless.##imported-begin##Doris Fortune##imported-end##

I'm so sorry for your loss. I want to tell you a little bit about your dad. My parent's owned Summit Motors, and your dad "sarge" wandered in.I was 15 or 16 years old, and had already started my career in painting cars for my dad. Your dad worked at boeing at the time, painting aircraft, and was always there giving me encouragement in "how to do it". He at times was gruff, he had his way, the stories of his growing up were heartbreaking, but the one thing that was always constant, was the love of his departed wife, and his children, Joey, and Sissy. He was very proud of the two of you, spoke very hightly of you and you were the shinning light in his life. My dad passed 6 years ago, your dad, called my mother every day to check on her. In August of 2000, we found out that my mother had lung cancer, she passed in april of 2001. I want you to know your dad called my mothers house each and everyday, and talked to my sisters and I to check on my mother, right up to the day we had to sell my parents house. I want you to know i have very fond memories of your dad, I knew him for 30+ years, and i had the pleasure of getting to know him, seeing past his "gruff" exterior, and knowing the real "sarge". My sympathy is with you in your loss, and i want you to know that you lost a truly fine man.
sincerly,
