It wasen't until now that I could sit down and talk about our beloved Jim. Our hearts our broken. Jim left us far to soon. I have so many wonderful memories of Jim.
I would like to send my heartfelt sympathy to the Garcia family. Though, we have suffered a great loss, so have they. Jim loved you all so much. He and I spoke often about your family. And he admired how close you were and how much you loved one another. Jim's years with Gloria were the happiest he had. He loved her to the very end. Thank you so much for caring for Jim. I remember one day when Jim and I were sitting in his front yard at the house on "k" street. Before that day I thought Jim and I were like night and day. And that would have been OK. But, it was that day where I realised that Jim and I were not that different after all. He spoke about tradition and family. His hopes and dreams were just like mine. We spoke about family, love and loyalty. He spoke about missed opportunites. But,he was as hopeful as ever that all his dreams would come true. He packed alot of living into his short life. John, JJ and I will take comfort in our wonderful memories of Jim. Our trips to Disneyland, Car shows, 4th Of July, dinners or just our visits in the front yard. We love him so much. And he will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Shelley Holder##imported-end##
My cousin Jimmy was one of the funnest guys I know. His impish, ready grin preceded most of his "surpises".
I loved going to Tacoma to visit my Aunt Goofy and crazy cousins. My favorite memory of Jimmy is the time that he put a mechanic's jumpsuit on about 7 year old Beckie and stuffed it with pillows and towels. Her little, tiny head was adorable above the bulk of her suit. Her and Jimmie bounced all around the living room making everyone laugh til their tummy hurt!
My love and prayers for his family are ongoing.

I will start with my favorite memory of Jim. When I first got to Tacoma, Gloria and Jim let me and my family stay in their little house. Jim made us pancakes; I can still see him standing in front of the stove smiling, flipping the pancakes in the air without the spatula, showing off. He'd stuff pillows into Juan's, Cecilia's and Allan's clothes so they could Sumo wrestle in the living room. And Jim would take Juan to his favorite spot by the water and fish all day. One of Jim's favorite stories to tell is when he babysat Allan and he had to change her poopie diaper - always told with a laugh and smile. Gloria and Jim always invited me to their house to share crab legs or drive up to Seattle to walk at the market. I have a lot of memories of Gloria and Jim and I'm glad to keep them with me always. Jim was my brother-in-law for years and years and a fantastic uncle.##imported-begin##Barbara Garcia##imported-end##
Passionate, creative, loving, giving, helpful, compelling, handsome, humorous, imaginative, dreamerÂ…Â….. are just some of the words I would use to describe Jim. We never wanted for adventure! He would cook the best meals for the two of us, family, and friends: Green bean : )casserole; green chile stew (the hotter the better for him!); tacos; salmon; pancakes; frittata. He was my angel that I would do anything for, give anything to, and live anywhere with.##imported-begin##Gloria##imported-end##
Jim was a wonderful cousin, he was married to my cousin Gloria for many years, we had the opportunity to enjoy his jokes and his laughter. We are surely going to miss him. Our condolences to the whole family for the loss of Jim

Jimmy was my cousin. Our families lived close to each other for about a year and a half when I was 8 and he was 22 or so. He was always so much fun. One of my favorite memories of him was him folding up his body and getting into a big huge tire and rolling down the hill. And then he gave us kids a turn going head over heels (literally!) down the hill in the tire.
I always thought that if I had an older brother, I would want it be Jimmy.
My prayers are with you, Aunt Ruth, John, Scott, and Beckie and all your families.
Love,
Shelley (Jersild) Roden##imported-begin##Shelley Roden##imported-end##
I am Jimmy’s baby sister Beckie. I was the lucky child to be born with an 11 year old prankster brother ready to pounce. He never missed an opportunity to tease me.
I miss his messages on my machine saying “Beckie, I know you’re there I can see you hiding behind the couch Pick Up†and even though it drove me nuts I’d give anything to hear an unexpected Bhaaaa!!! ( I hope Hannah doesn’t read this)
Jimmy took me to rock concerts and let me sit on his shoulders he was 6'4 I had the best seat in the house. He was a big kid and I will miss him terribly.
ItÂ’s so nice to hear everyoneÂ’s memories of my Big Brother. Thank you all!
IÂ’d like to thank my Mom for her patience and strength this last year. You are an amazing woman!!!
Goodnight Jimmy! I Love You!
