Jake Anthony Red… To know you was to love you because hating you broke down to love anyways! It’s been a fast 2 yrs while you’ve been gone. You were always someone they could never reject or forget. We met in the 9th grade and I promise you (for the readers) Jake was dancing to B2K in the hallway!! I remember getting your birthday tatted thinking that would prove something to you but I was Scared to get your full name 🥹😅 Man, it was us because when they looked at me, they always asked about you. To this day that has not stopped. With you nothing could hurt me because you protected me… I miss you Jake. I prayed so hard this would never happen. I promise you I asked GOD! I am a bit late to this post, but I think about Jake often. My first experience with Jake came in our 6th grade english class in Mr. Thangkeo's portable, we used to show up late from talking to girls in the breezeways.

We hung throughout middle school and played basketball at PLU, Jakes mom worked there, and her work ethic was infectious. That's where Jake got his warm spirit from. By 7th grade me him were good friends, we ran the streets after school and got into all types of trouble. Gonyea park, 108th st. apartments and anywhere we could play body blows in the bathroom. He was their for my first fight, and I was there for his first love, those days seem like yesterday.

in high school we grew apart, but we always reminisced when we would see each other and talk about the old days and how we had came up.

When I got the call that he had passed, I dropped tears, because all I ever wanted for him, was the experience of leaving tacoma, and seeing the world, his energy and natural smarts could have taken him anywhere.

I know throughout my journey in life, he is a friend I will always hold dear to my heart and take with me , for the experiences with him shaped the way i will view life forever.
