Jade Anthony's Obituary
Jade Sherise Anthony was born Sept. 9, 1979 in Tacoma, WA to Joe and Judy Anthony. Jade passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1, 2012 in Wash., D.C. She is survived by her parents, sister Jalana (Ricky) Frederick, grandmothers Venicia Tillman and Doris Everett, nephew Jordan Frederick, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
She graduated from Stadium High School in 1997. She went on to receive her B.A. from the University of Puget Sound, and her Masters of Public Administration in International Management from Monterey Institute of International Studies. In 2008 Jade was accepted into the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows Program and later accepted a full time position with the U.S. Dept. of Education.
Jade was an avid world traveler. Her studies and travel took her to Spain, El Salvador, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and the pyramids in Mexico City. She went to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar, fished for piranhas in the Amazon River, and ferried to Tangiers, Morocco.
Jade had a strong love for family, friends, and her special dog, Sofia. She lived life free-spirited and to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 17 in the Aspen Chapel, Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
