Oh jackie, its been a tough year, we love and miss you so very much! I do talk to you and have sent you a couple of balloons. I'm sure you have found friends and kitties to play with....here is a secret ...we are going to get a "rare breed" kitten (Cheetoh) at Christmas but no one other than you know, hehehe ....we are thinking his name will either be Chester or June bug if we get a girl. I had a special bond and friendship of 50 years with Jackie and miss her dearly. When she went into the hospital she so wanted her days to be normal and asked me to send her daily notes about what I was doing. We talked on the phone almost daily and celebrated our families successes and mourned our tragedies together. No more " last suppers" Jackie. I love and miss you . I was excited when my sister was born, and I have many memories of her at different ages and places we lived. She was a sweet Loving little girl. Also head strong, never afraid to try something new. She believed if you want something done, do it your self. She was qSmart, fun to be with and quiet. I don't remember ever having an argument with her. We were as different as night and day. I loved her with all my heart. And I miss her but am assured that she is celebrating her salvation with her Savior and one day I will join her with the rest of my family.
This is such a beautifully written obituary. I am always saddened after losing someone dear in my life, to learn so much about them I wish I had known. I am a member of the DuPont seniors group that Jackie was such an integral part of, and considered her such a close and caring person. I always enjoyed time spent with Jackie and as I’m sure we all do, wish I could have had more. My sincere condolences to all the family - she will be so missed.
I cannot express the comfort and security Jackie provided for my family. My son Bazel started in Jackie's care when he was 3 months old and continued with her until it was time to start kindergarten. Mornings we would straggle into her lovely home with its wonderful smell of break baking in the oven, sweet kitties who taught my kid to crawl and then walk, and an overall supportive environment. Through Jackie my son learned to be compassionate for others, and many other qualities. In recent years I enjoyed keeping in touch via FB to talk about flowers and kitties. I am sorry for your loss. May her memory bring us joy.
Jackie was a treasured member of Forever Young Seniors. She participated in the annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast which was manned by our group. For me she was the most loving and caring person that I know We will all miss her so much.
Jackie's warmth was palpable. I always felt at home in her home, like one of the family. She had so many people she cared about, yet always made me feel special. I will hold her in my heart.
