I am the "little sister" of one of the Furious Five (Johnnita Isom). Growing up I would always want to tag along with my sister and Jacquie and naturally my sister never wanted little sis tagging along. But Jacquie always advocated for me, ("Jnita, quit being mean and let her come with us"!)...so sometimes I got to come along, Hee! Hee!
Jacquie always treated me like a member of the older Furious Five group and even when I wasn't able to tag along she would come back and share all the fun stories with me so I felt like I was there. Jacquie was always so much fun to be around and she always had me laughing with her stories and imitations! So hilarious!
Over the past 6 months I had the opportunity to chat with Jacquie quite a few times and during EVERY conversation she would remind me to "go after what I want (and WHO I want - hee, hee)", "live my life fully and do everything I want to do in this life time", and "remember that life is really short so don't take anything for granted". I love to cruise and ironically I found out about Jacquie's passing on my drive to a cruise ship...and I got the message that I would miss her funeral as I was coming off the ship. I smiled a big Jacquie grin knowing that I had missed her being laid to rest because I was "living fully" -- and she would have wanted it that way. Rest in peace Jacquie...through my memories of you - and with you - your spirit lives inside me! Peace and blessings to her family... Love Ellisha##imported-begin##Ellisha Isom##imported-end##
Friendship bonds that last a lifetime are truly raw. I am blessed to have shared such a bond with my friend Jacque. It is with a heavy heart that I write these words. My condolences to Jacque's cherished husband and children. As you already know, your wife and mother was an incredible life force. What you may not have known is that she has ALWAYS been that way! Having been blessed to have known her for over 30 years, I can say that her smile and gaze will dwell in my heart forever. Goodbye my friend. You are now an angel. You have always been a saint.
Yours forever,

Jacquelyn was one of the first people that I met upon arriving at Ramstein Air Force Base. The school semester had already begun and being the new kid on the block is never easy especially when your a teenager. Jackie was warm and friendly from the first day that I met her in 1981. Who knew that 31 years later our friendship would still be going strong. Like all relationships we had some gaps were due to life we lost touch but once we found each other again the time we hadn't spoken didn't even matter. For the most part I can truly say we have always been a part of each others lives in one way or another. I'm so grateful to God that Jacquelyn was able to attend the Ramstein High School Reunion in San Antonio in 2010. Though she was batteling cancer then you would have never known it; her bravery courage and positive spirit was contagious and infectious. I'm truly devasted that due to illness that I will not be able to travel to Seattle to pay my respects but do know that the Gocha'and Steward families are in my prayers. Jacquelyn was a genuinely nice person she was loyal to her friends and always had a positive attitude and loved her family. I will take that with me and in her honor do all I can to work on my health and appreciate every day God has given me Jacquelyn Steward Gocha' you were truly my friend and I will forever miss you.

It's difficult to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were all a special part of a well-lived life. Memories of love and friendship are treasures to carry with you always. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange.##imported-begin##Tammie (Hall) Silva##imported-end##
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I went to High School with Jacquelyn and cannot even imagine what you are enduring at this difficult time. Jacquelyn was always uplifting, joyful, friendly and just completely full of life. I find it almost impossible to conceive that she is not with us any longer. My thoughts and prayers are with her entire family at this time. Jacquelyn will live on in our memories as an endearing Ramstein Royal and the highlight of Cosmetology class. May God comfort you and surround his arms around you.##imported-begin##Michelle Toney Sefchick##imported-end##
