Jacquelyn Oneiva Birge Age 73 of Tacoma WA, beloved Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother passed away on the 15th of July 2017. Jackie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on the 8th day of May 1944 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina to Ruth and Willie Gentry
Jackie graduated from Lincoln Heights High School in 1962 from there Jackie worked for Boeing for approximately 8 years then onto McCarver Elementary School as a para-educator for 36 years until retirement.
Jackie was married to Tom E Birge on October 24th in Tacoma, WA where they resided for 47 years. Together they raised two sons Marcellus and Montrolus.
She was a devoted/faithful member of St Johns Baptist Church in Tacoma.
Jackie enjoyed spending her free time with family, friends and travelling.
She is survived by her Brothers Ronnie and Harlis Gentry and Sister Charleen Gentry-McCain, Husband Tom Birge, Sons Marc and Monty, Grand Children Nicole, Hunter, Mikalah, and Logan, and Great Grand-Daughter Azariah.
She is preceded in death by her Father Willie and Mother Ruth Gentry, Brother: Ferriell Gentry.
Viewing and Services to be held at Mountain View Funeral Home of Lakewood Washington
Viewing to be held on Friday the 21st of July at 11:00-8:00.
Services to be held 1:00 Saturday the 22nd of July in the Celebration of Life Building, Aspen Chapel. A reception will follow in the Willow Room.
