Jacqueline J. Pendleton's Obituary
Jacqueline J. Pendleton passed away June 21, 2003, in Tacoma. Born October 4, 1925, in Seattle, Â"JackieÂ" grew up in Great Neck, NY, and moved to Tacoma in 1972. Her husband, Charles A. Pendleton, a music professor at UPS, predeceased her in 1997. She attended Cornell University and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1952. Received her Masters Degree from San Francisco State College and in 1979 graduated from Seattle Massage School. She loved children, literature, teaching, and always looked for the good in her students. She taught elementary school in California from 1950-1969 and at the Bethel and Tacoma School Districts from 1973 to the mid-1980Â's when she retired. She was a member of the Skyline Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her son, Matthew Pendleton, of Lakewood, and many relatives in New York. Memorial services will be Thursday, June 26, 2003, at 6pm at the Tacoma Stake Center, S. 12th and Pearl St.
