Jack Springfield's Obituary
Jack Springfield
Born January 31st 1935 in Warner, Oklahoma to Paul and Mildred Springfield, and passed away April 4th, in Tacoma surrounded by his immediate family. Jack was a loving family man who enjoyed 'retired life' with his wife of 47 years, Patricia.
Jack grew up in Oklahoma, and loved to recount childhood memories with his sister Billie Hill(deceased), and brothers Paul and Ronald Springfield. There were always laughs. Jack entered the Army in 1958, then was stationed in Fort Lewis. He never left Tacoma and soon met 'Pat'. They married in 1965. Jack was a bus driver and retired from Pierce Transit after 30 years of service. He and Pat were active in the retired bus driver community and had many friends.
One of Jack's greatest loves was the game of golf. He played every Sunday, rain or shine,( or even snow), for years. Jack also loved to hunt, as he appreciated the beauty of nature and scenery.
Jack, above all, was a family man. He enjoyed family road trips to his native Oklahoma and Northern California, as he also loved to travel. He passes on his love, humor, and warmth to Pat, Paul(Alietta) and Ronald(Carol), Billie's husband Dave Hill, sons Evan and Brian(Amy Hansen), five precious grandchildren, and his many great friends.
