Jack Alan Rumming's Obituary
Jack Alan Rumming Born March 8, 1936 to Herchel and Marguerite Rumming. Died Jan. 17, 2015 at home on Fox Island. He graduated from Stadium High School in 1954. He went to work for Boeing shortly after and was there for 39 years. My father was a union toolmaker in Auburn for many years before going into management. He had many fond memories working at Boeing especially on production of the B-2. At school all of my friends wanted to talk about my father because I played up his top secret security clearance. I am always proud to tell people about my father.
My father really enjoyed life, he was an avid hunter and really liked hunting deer in the Methow Valley. He also enjoyed target shooting all of his life and was the best shot I've every known. When dad retired, he pursued his dreams by building hotrods in his shop. His shop was his sanctuary, he loved tinkering with his cars. It is with great pride that I will continue to show his cars in his name.
Dad lived a full life and we will miss him a lot. His health began to decline a couple of years ago with the onset of dementia, a difficult time but I would have it no other way than to walk through it with him. The event that precipitated my father's death has been hard to put in perspective. I know he was the person I cherished most especially after my mother's recent passing. Our conversations at night meant the world to me and I feel the loss. Any friends can call me 253-686-3897, maybe to put together a memorial, or just talk. I love you Dad, Reid.
