Jack R. Robbins Sr.'s Obituary
Jack Robert “Bob” Robbins, age 76, of Tacoma, Washington passed away on August 28, 2015.
He was born on April 12, 1939 in Port Gamble, Washington where he lived there until 1941. He was the 4th of four children to the late parents of Russell and Elsie Robbins. He attended Waller Road Elementary and Puyallup High School. After graduation, Jack served in the U.S. Army during “Peacetime.” He worked logging with his father and later in life made a career out of the tire recap shop. In 1962 on November 3rd, Jack married the love of his life, Judy Johnson.
Jack gave his heart to Christ at the age of 34, the family knows they will see him again in their hope in Christ. He was an active member in Church serving as a deacon and treasurer and was involved in the Salvation Army by delivering meals and enjoyed helping others at the retirement home and Senior Center.
Jack enjoyed playing cards, bowling, bingo, fishing and camping with his family. His love in music was rock-n-roll, Elvis, Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride. He loved watching the Mariner’s and the Seahawks and was overjoyed when the Seahawks won the Super bowl! He was a loving, honest, caring, dedicated and helpful man who also loved to tease!
Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy and their six children; Kimberly Kirkman of Tacoma, WA; Ken Robbins (Dawnde) of Missouri; Kari Berry (Bill) of Missouri; Jack Robbins Jr. (Heidi) of Tacoma; Patrick Robbins (Mandy) of Tacoma; James Robbins (Amanda) of Tacoma; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
