Jack W. Harper's Obituary
Jack was born October 9, 1940 in Tacoma, Washington. He was welcomed into the presence of Jesus on May 5, 2024 at his home in Puyallup.
Jack lived in his Puyallup home for 57 years with his wife and best friend, Colleen. She preceded him in death in 2014 after 53 years of marriage. Jack and Colleen were high school sweethearts who were the happiest when they were together.
He was an amazing father to Teresa (John), Stephen (Cindy), Scott (Korinne), Cristeen (Grant), and Victoria (Tim). He is also survived by his sister, Karen and brother, William and his 11 well-loved grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jack worked tirelessly as a Longshoreman for over 40 years and was an active member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. He made countless friends through his work who felt more like family.
Jack loved working on old cars and attending car shows, the Good Guys in Puyallup being his favorite. He enjoyed keeping up his beautiful yard, especially tending to Mom’s favorite yellow roses. Jack had a big heart for those in need and was the kind of man who would give you the coat off his back.
