Jack Andrew Blackwell's Obituary
Jack Andrew Blackwell, surrounded by family in his home, passed on to the Lord on May 6, 2006. Jack was born in Hendersonville, NC on September 21, 1923. He was a WWII decorated veteran and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1966. A parishioner at St. MaryÂ's Episcopal Church, Jack played guitar in the Kairos Prison Ministry for many years. In his peaceful passing, he joins his children Timothy and Deborah, his siblings Bill and Betty, and his parents Ben and Ruth. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hannah, his sons John (wife B.J.) and Patrick (wife Elaine), his siblings Francis, Evelyn, and Ben Jr., all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him. His memorial will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at St. MaryÂ's Episcopal Church in Lakewood.
