Isolde E Liening's Obituary
Isolde (Sally) Edith Liening, 91 of Tacoma, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 and is now with her Lord and Savior. She was born to Leopold and Eva Nerling Dill Nov. 26, 1922 in Kummerau, East Prussia. Sally came to Tacoma in 1948 from Denmark.
She married Averil Liening at Calvary Baptist Church in 1949. She has two sons, Ralph (Melonie) of Tacoma and David (Susan) of Goldendale. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jason, Jared, Travis, Emily, Laura, Hilary and Sam, a sister Hadel Gehrke of Spanaway along with many nieces and nephews. Her parents and siblings, Herbert, Walter, Else, Edmond and Linda Adams predeceased her.
Sally retired from Nalley’s Fine Foods after 31 years. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Valley View Christian Fellowship on Waller Road in Tacoma at 10am on Dec. 21,2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Salvation Army.
