Born 3-13-1933. Left us on 11-06-14 peacefully with her family by her side. Preceding her in death was her soulmate Jimmy and her son Thomas and sister Sophie. She is survived by her son Robert and daughter Sandra. Her sisters J Read Obituary
I spent a lot of time on Iryne's porch chatting. I shall miss that. I admired how active she was considering that she had to drag her oxygen every where she went. Her legacy is her sisters and brothers, her children Bob and Sandy, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has earned her rest and is now reunited with Jimmy. Nora Jangard
Mom was born in a log cabin 6 mile east of Evansberg Alberta Canada. Her parents were immigrants from the Ukraine in Russia. There were 6 children in her family. She came to the US on December 11, 1955. She lived in southern California. She worked very hard for her 3 children. Mom never had it easy. She worked 2 jobs plus took in sewing and ironing. She spent a lot of time with her best friend who also happened to be her sister Josey. What a pair those two were. She as so very proud to get he US citizenship. Upon moving to Washington she started in banking working her way up to investor accounting. She also started selling Avon. She excelled at both because she enjoyed both. When she started selling Avon who know she would be doing it for over 35 years and again make presidents club for the 34th year in 2013.She gave of herself to make others smile. She volunteered at the Tacoma Lutheran Community for many years. Last account she amassed over 10 thousand volunteer hours there. She was also active in the VFW. She became president of the ladies auxiliary. A position she held for many years. She had over 750 volunteer hours with the VFW. Then along came Jimmy. Upon retiring they would travel. Cruises, casino bus trips and car trips. Always on the go she would still find time to help others.
