Irma Williams' Obituary
Irma passed away peacefully on a sunny Saturday afternoon surrounded by many loving family members. Born Nettie Phoenix, to Ray Phoenix and Daisy Furman in Upton, Wyoming, on a pioneer homestead with ten brothers and sisters who preceded her in death. As a young wife and mother, she moved to the west coast during World War II, where she raised four sons that survive her. Bruce(Dia), Vernon(Peggy), Douglas(Jan) and Gregory(Kathy)Bock. Many years ago, Irma relocated in Tacoma , WA, where she met and married Ross Williams, who preceded her in death in 1989. Irma is survived by Ross' daughter Gymme Lynn(Robert)Frank. Her legacy has been passed on to many loved and loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her years of retirement were spent traveling, gardening and making life's special occasions more meaningful with her personally crafted treasures, be they baptism gowns, afghans, ceramics or "gourmet" cookies. No doubt, lovingly inspired by her pioneer heritage. God Himself has said, "I will not, in any way, fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not, in any degree, leave you alone nor forsake you, nor let you down, nor relax MY hold on you, assuredly not!" Hebrews 13:5b Amplified Bible Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Thursday, February 21st, at 3pm in the Aspen Chapel.
