After Iona moved to Washington in 1959 she became a legal secretary for a law firm in Lakewood. She then became the office manager for KCPQ Channel 13, the Clover Park School District’s educational television station. After the TV station closed she took as position in the Special Services Department of the Clover Park School District. Iona was an active member of the LDS Church until illness prevented her from attending.
Iona was friendly to everyone she met and told everyone they had a BEAUTIFUL smile. She enjoyed walking and going to lunch with her friends, traveling and car rides. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She was a true lady in every sense of the word and our family will miss her sweet spirit. We love you mom.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Iona’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
