Ilalio I. "Tuu" Maifea's Obituary
Ilalio I "Tuu" Maifea; Our beloved father was born on June 23, 1943 to Ioane and Malia Maifea in the village of Pavaiai in American Samoa. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet Stehlin Samoa Maifea of who he adored. He is survived by his loving children Pupi Gututala, Richard Maifea, Talima Gututala, Ernest Mafea, Marlene Maifea-Pene and Albert S. Maifea. Tuu was the caring and gentle grandfather of eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the devoted brother of Akeliana Maifea Tarrant and Christina Maifea and was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters
In reflecting on his loving life with Mom, Tuu set a shining example of the kind of unconditional love required to see their marriage through, good times and bad. He truly adored Janet and doted on her for every day they were together.
Tuu was strong and silent. He was always funny and comical and very rarely complained. For all who were fortunate to know him, they would always walk away with a smile. Tuu was a steady and true gentleman and held no pretense. What you saw is what you got! He was a man of integrity and loves God with all his heart.
Please join us in a celebration of Tuu's life on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at 3:00/PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home, Aspen Chapel Lakewood WA. All relatives, friends kindly invited.
