Ida Chambers' Obituary
Ida was a 97 year resident of Pierce County. Daughter of A.L. Schaffert and Christina M. (Barttels) Schaffert. Born Aug. 6, 1907 in Roy, WA and died Apr. 19, 2005 in Tacoma, WA. Widow of Lewis C. Chambers, a retired City of Tacoma Fire Fighter, sister to George (deceased), Paul (deceased) (Cora Dean), and Lester (Gladys) Schaffert of Seattle, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ida retired from Western State Hospital as a psychiatric nurse. She was a former resident of Pt. Defiance Village.The family would like to express thanks to the staff at Park Rose Care Center and Dr. A. Mihali.Memorial Contribution may be made to the FiremenÂ's Burn Center at St. Joseph Hospital.Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, Apr. 26, 2005, at the Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center.
