Ida B. Stewart's Obituary
Ida B. Stewart passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 15, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 13, 1918 in Mahomet, Illinois, and moved with her family to Tacoma in 1950.Â"Granny,Â" the foundation of her family, was an inspiration to all who met her. She opened her heart and her home to anyone who wanted in. She always seemed to know just what was needed; a kind word, a knowing look, or a tender smile. She will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and loving touch.Ida is survived by: her loving husband, Kenneth, of 64 years; son Keith (Dianne); daughters: Dixie Brewster (L.J.), Sharon Jones (Cliff), and Sandra Huntley; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 5 sisters: Clara Blake, Phoebe Dobson, and Julia Whitlock, all of California, and Margie Meyer and Beaulah Roderick, both of Illinois; and brother, Ward Kuyrkendall, of New York.A special thanks to Group Health Hospice for the gentle and loving care they provided.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 19, 2004 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.Donations may be made to the Group Health Hospice.
