Hwa Chin Blizzard's Obituary
Hwa Chin Blizzard was born in Hwanghae-do, Korea in 1943. She was married for 58 years to Richard Blizzard, whom she met while he was stationed in Korea in the 1960s. They have one daughter, Michelle who lives close by in Puyallup with her husband Jason.
After supporting her husband’s long career with the Army, they retired to Washington state in the 1990s. She enjoyed staying active by working out at the gym, tending to her garden, cooking, and traveling to a number of National Parks with their close friends.
She passed away on January 27, 2026 from cancer complications.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle and son in law Jason and brother Yong Hwan and sister in law Young Ae. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Richard and two older brothers and one older sister.
Funeral services will be held on February 19th at 11am at Tahoma National Cemetery.
