I’m so grateful that I got to know Howard so well over the last 15 years. He was always interesting, the fabulous stories. His USO tours with celebrities (kind and not so kind). The military flights that were supposed to be a day or two but turned into months and months away from his new bride, off saving Americans in other countries. He loved meeting people and considered everyone a good friend. He and Florence exploring the world together. His love for his family always evident. After 65 years he still adored Florence and would do anything for her. He told me he knew on their first date that he was going to marry her… But that she took a bit of convincing! I’d say it was a life very well lived.
