Howard Vlieger's Obituary
Howard James Vlieger went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2013. He was born on August 30, 1934 in Artesian, South Dakota and was one of eight children. He was a faithful husband to his wife, Louise, for over 52 years. Howard spent his life serving his Lord as a Sunday School teacher, church missionary president, church bus driver, board member and all around “fix-it” guy at church. He also worked for Boeing for over forty years.
He is survived by his wife Louise, his daughters Melody Harwell and Lisa Vlieger, his grandchildren Grace and Evan and their father John Harwell. He is also survived by two sisters, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Howard’s life will be held at the Tacoma Nazarene Church on Saturday, August 24, at 11:00 am. The church is located at 3640 South M Street.
A viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, August 23rd from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
