Hollister R. Gee's Obituary
Hollister "Holly" R. Gee died and went to heaven on the night of November 10, 2015. He was born on February 21, 1923 in Russell, Minnesota. Holly was married to the love of his life, Mary Lou and lived happily together for 65 years. She preceded him in death in November of 2013.
Holly was a leader in the Lakewood community, a lifetime educator and coach and helped thousands of students succeed in the classroom and on the field. He was first and foremost dedicated to the success and happiness of his son Ron and two grandchildren Jevan and Dillon, who survived him.
He played a major part in organizing youth sports programs in the community and had a passion for helping athletes accomplish their goals. Holly will always be remembered for his compassion, work ethic, quick wit and love for his family and friends. This strong and courageous man will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family will receive family and friends for a visitation from 1:00PM to 8:00PM, On Sunday, November 22nd at Mountain View Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Holly’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 23rd in the Valley Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home; 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
A Reception will be at the Schooner Pub & Galley, 5429 100th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 immediately following the service.
