Hollis L. Elliott's Obituary
Hollis Elliott was born on August 1, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington. He went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Graduated from Glacier High School in 1967. In 1969 he graduated with a dental technology degree from Bates Technical College and in 1971 graduated from Tacoma Community College with an associates of liberal arts.
In 1975 he joined the United States Navy and served as a Gunners Mate on the USS Higby and USS Orleck.
He worked at Speckhardt Dental Lab and then went on to operate his own business, Elliott Technology, as a licensed denturist. During this time he contracted work with McNeil Island Correctional Facility. In 1993 he served as president of the Washington State Dental Lab Association. He served in the dental field for over 40 years.
From 2004 to 2013 he coached the girls soccer team at both Ford Middle School and Franklin Pierce High School.
He had a lifelong passion for cars, trucks and motorcycles, including being a member of a local car club the Midnight Riders for many years.
He loved making people smile not only with his work, but with his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Rosie of 37 years, mother Evelyn, sister Challis, brothers Mark and Evan, son Jesse (Kim) and daughter Chelsey (Kyle) and granddaughter Avree Elliott.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015, 10:30 AM at Rainier View Christian Church; 12305 Spanaway Loop Rd S, Parkland, WA 98444.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
