Hilda Cordie-Tangorra
Hilda was born January 9, 1921, in Maaseik Begium to (Robert Cordie Sr. and Helaine Op Dekamp. She passed away on January 3, 2018, in Tacoma, WA. When Hilda was ten years old, she and her parents, two sisters and brother moved to Brussels. She married an American Air Force Officer and came to the U.S. in May of 1946 on the U.S.S. Brazil, a converted hospital ship, with war Brides from Belgium and France. Hilda divorced in 1965. She met Frank Tangorra in 1970 and they married in 1971. In 1955, Hilda was employed as a teller at the Seabord Branch of Seattle-First National Bank. She also served as Assistant Manager of the Highland Hill Branch until transferring to the Lakewood Branch. She retired in 1979. Hilda is preceded in death by her husband Frank Tangorra, her parents Robert Cordie Sr. and Helaine Op Dekamp, her sister Paula Huybregts, and her brother Robert Cordie, Jr. of Belgium, her sister Jose Hegt, of Germany. She is survived by Neice Martine Lozinguez (Dany) and their children Caroline and Alexandre of Belgium, and her good friend, Marie Aquino.
