Herta Elizabeth Rogne's Obituary
HERTA E. ROGNE "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:20 Born February 9, 1920 in Seattle; went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2008 where she has joined her husband, Rev. Don R. Rogne. Following their marriage on February 23, 1940 they left for Burma as missionaries. After fleeing the country due to the war crisis, they returned to Tacoma, where they founded the Evangelistic Tabernacle in 1944 and retired in 1991. She was a loving, caring, and encouraging pastor's wife known for her inspirational organ playing and adaptability. She continued to use her talent in various areas of ministry following their retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Jean Kraus (husband Dale); two grandsons, Joseph R. Finley, III (wife Teresa); Peter D. Finley (wife Michelle), two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren Margaret Angle (sister), Oscar Hanson (brother) and numerous family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Hanson and Hanna Goranson, and Alice Gustafson (sister). Memorial service will be Saturday, May 3rd, 3:00 PM at Life Center Gray Chapel, 1717 S. Union, Tacoma, WA. The family extends a special thank you to Doctor Paula Roussel and Nurse Patty, the loving and caring staff of Sheltered Arms and Home Hospice. Until we meet again "Mizpah" Bonnie
