Ed, as I knew him, was an easy to get along with guy. Always had a smile on his face and made one feel comfortable. His laughter was contagious.
Socializing with him at different events was a pleasure. I remember him at the Caring for Kids, Lakewood Ram take over. He was there welcoming people. He will be remembered with affection. RIP Ed.

Decades of friendship between our two families, Bill and Pat Price!
Ed and my husband ended up in neighboring bedrooms in a lovely care home where Bill, who is now blind, and has Lewy Body Dementia so in the early years of our lives our families became close together at the end of Ed's life. When I learned Kathy needed a place for Ed, I told her where Bill is, so she was able to move him across the hall from Bill. Ironic 50 years after first becoming friends they became residents of the same lovely home!

One of the best friends’ dads of em all growing up. An always cool guy. We had a thing when I was a kid: Whenever I’d arrive at the Hildebrandt house, Ed would ask me, “Where’s your horse?” I didn’t actually own a horse, but always gave an answer: “He’s at the theater tonight,” etc. When I ran into Ed at my mom’s funeral 35 or so years later, he asked the question. “Had to leave him in Minnesota,” I said. “The airline doesn’t allow comfort horses.” He loved the silly banter then as always. Rest in peace, Mr. H. You were one of the best. Thoughts and prayers with Cheryl, Kathy and Kevin.
