Herbert L. Hartso, Jr.'s Obituary
Herbert L. Hartso, Jr., Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, is now at peace with God and loved ones who passed before him. Born in Hiroshima, Japan on Nijimura Army Base 08/01/1956 to Herbert L. Hartso Sr. and Keiko Hartso. Herb passed away unexpectedly at home 02/14/16 in his sleep. The Hartso Family moved to Tacoma in 1957, and Herb lived locally his entire life.
He attended Mt. Tahoma High School and graduated from Henry Foss High School in 1974. Herb embarked on a long and successful career in coatings and construction that spanned over 40 years. He is currently the owner of American Construction and Coatings, participating in state road projects and various federal government and state construction projects.
Herb always liked to work with and meet new people. He loved a challenge as well as a good sense of humor while taking on any task. Family, jazz, Hawaii, Seahawks, cool cars and business were his passions and he did them all well!

Survived by his son Herb Hartso III (Lela), daughter Tahni, sister Aiko (Chuck), brother Reggie (Diane), niece Nichole, nephews Andy and Sam, great-nieces Maddie, Jackie and Ally, great-nephew Drew, grandsons Herbie IV and Theo.
Herb was a Christian who is gone from earth into Heaven and he will forever be with the ones he loved and the ones who loved him. He lived for his children and grandchildren.
Rest, relax and enjoy now! We love you and will see you soon.
