Henry Henricksen's Obituary
Henry H. Â"HankÂ" Henricksen of Tacoma died on Wednesday, February 25, 2004, after a long illness. He was 74. Hank was born October 21, 1929, to Henry and Caroline Henricksen, in Donohue, Iowa. He attended local schools, graduating from Tipton High School in 1947. Hank spent 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant after an exemplary career. While in the military, he saw duty in Germany, France, England, Greenland, and Vietnam. Upon his military retirement, he began an 18-year career with the Frank Russell Company, where he developed the Russell Equity Indices. He retired from Frank Russell in 1992. Hank then set off as a full time RVÂ'er, enjoying serveral years of travel and logging over 150, 000 miles before he was side lined by poor health. Hank was a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association, the Texas Tower Veterans, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Puyallup Aries, the Military Order of Cooties, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ray C. Roberts Post 969, where he held the position of quartermaster for 8 years.He is survived by his daughters Susan (Patrick) Muttart of Sumner, Cathy (Harlan) McCord of Tacoma, Nancy Henricksen of Kenai, Alaska, a step-son Phil Crandall of Stuart, Florida, a sister Beatrice (Richard) Bahmler of Lees Summit, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
