Henry Clay Waters' Obituary
Henry Clay Waters II, born on January 28, 1922 to Henry C Waters I and Ada Waters (Strothers) in Bixby, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2006 in Ft. Lewis, WA. At age 17, he enlisted into the United States Army and served over 30 honorable and exceptional years as a combat medic. During WWII, he was amongst the 1st Infantry Division that helped liberate Germany, actively participated in the Korean conflict, and three brave and grueling tours in Vietnam. A true soldier, as he earned several honors including the Combat Medical badge, 7 Bronze Stars, the Silver Star, and the Oak Leaf Cluster amongst many others accommodations and recognition of valor, bravery, and heroism.In 1956, he married Anna Elizabeth Altinger in Landshut, Germany. From that Union, he and his wife were blessed with four children.In 1973, he retired from the United States Army and lived out some of his life in Los Angeles, California with his Mother Ada and sister Ruthel, before residing with his son Bryan in Seattle, Washington.He is survived by his sons Richard H. Waters, Bryan R. Waters, John A. Waters, daughter Sheila A. Romesburg, and his sister Ruthel Finch, along with 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.Military Honors and Interment will be held at Tacoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
